Dr. Martinez-Kaigi
As a licensed clinical psychologist, my primary goal is to help you optimize your health and well-being, which may have been impacted by past and present challenges. This journey might involve addressing depression, anxiety, trauma, burnout, chronic stress, or managing chronic medical conditions. Beyond treating primary mental health concerns, I believe that connecting with one’s core values and beliefs cultivates a profound sense of inner peace, or "amani"—a Swahili word meaning peace. This inner peace is an essential part of healing from trauma, depression, and anxiety, fostering improved health and well-being.
I hold a PhD in Clinical Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine, along with a Master’s of Science in Kinesiology. With expertise in interdisciplinary care, I have worked on medical teams across military and civilian sectors, as well as in clinical research settings. My clinical training and professional experience spans prestigious institutions including the National Institutes of Health, Yale School of Medicine, Cleveland Clinic, VA Healthcare System, and the U.S. Army Medical Department Regiment.
